About Upstate Threads

Upstate Threads began in June 2020, when founder Lauren Tampe turned a dream into reality from a tiny one-bedroom apartment. What started as an online boutique quickly blossomed into a warm and welcoming storefront in the heart of Pittsford, shared with our friends at Chicke.

Over the years, Upstate Threads has grown, adapted, and evolved — just like life itself. As the world shifted and economic conditions changed, so did our little shop. Along the way, Lauren’s family grew, priorities shifted, and new dreams began to take shape.

In 2025, Upstate Threads closed its physical storefront, marking the end of one chapter and the start of another. While we’ll miss the in-person smiles and pop-ins, the heart of Upstate Threads remains the same — a love for community, connection, and curated style.

We’re embracing this new season and planning to continue online in the future — bringing you the cozy sweaters, classic denim, and small-town charm you’ve always loved, no matter where life takes us.

“This business has grown and changed with me. What started as a dream during lockdown has turned into something I’ll always be proud of — a reflection of hard work, community, and evolving seasons of life.”

xoxo,

Lauren
